I was lucky enough to be invited with my 1977 Trans Am SE to Tampa Florida when
Burt Reynolds
did a Q&A and a screening of Smokey and the Bandit at the historic Tampa
Theater

1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE aka Bandit Trans AM |

The 1977 Pontiac Trans SE was made
famous back in the Spring of 1977 when Hal Needham casted the Firebird Trans AM for his directorial
debuet in "Smokey and the Bandit" starring Burt Reynolds. Here's a few pictures of

The SE is the model they used
in the film. The 4 trans am's that Pontiac
gave to the production of the movie were all deystroyed, per Hal Needham in a interview
that he gave to HHP Magazine (pictured right). "Smokey and the Bandit
Secrests Revealed" It's a must have for all trans am / bandit fans. This was his 1st in-depth interview about the film in 30 years
for movies 30th anniversary.
SE stands for "Special Edition"which is
a
package that included:
RemovableGlass Roof Panels.
Special Gold Cast luminum Wheels
Special Gold Interior / Exterior Appointments.
Speical Gold Stipes and Emblems.

Here are the 1st polariod pictures
I snapped of my T/A after I purchased it back in the mid 90's. It had 66,000
miles on it and It's all original except for the flow master exhaust. I even
have the original Uniroyal Tires that came on the car when it was new stored away. The Bandit
and I reside here in south Florida. |

Here's a group picture from "The
Bandit Run 2007" That's me in the front row on the far right side in the red shirt.
It was a blast, and now it's an annual event. We had a ton of media coverage
